Pohick Friends accepts donations of gently used fiction and non-fiction books, both hardback and softback, including children's, teens, and adult books. We also accept donations of DVDs and CDs.

Donations can be dropped off at the circulation or information desk during normal library business hours. Please do not leave donations at the library book drop box or at the library doors.

• Books for readers of all ages, from newborn to 99+

• Good condition used books in fiction or non-fiction

• New books, best sellers, coffee-table, gift books

• Cookbooks - very recent or favorite classics

• Foreign Language Books of all types and for all ages

• Educational materials & text books, test-prep materials. (published within 5 years)

• Art, Biographies, History, Philosophy, Science.

• Business, Investing, Medical & Self Help (published within 5 years).

• New Magazines (published within 1 year).

• Other media - CDs, DVDs, audio books on CD, educational DVDs.

• Good condition puzzles or games (all the pieces).

• Travel Books published within 3 years.

Please AVOID donating

• Books affected by damage such as tears dogears, smoke, water or mildew.

• Books with underlining, notes, smoke, water, pet damage, mildew or dirt.

• VHS tapes, audio cassettes, or phonograph.

• Maps, atlases, TripTiks, etc.

• Free/membership magazines (AARP, AAA, etc.)
